Fresh Start! 2015 Reading Goals

Last year, I was able to read exactly 101 books ^^ . Hurray!!!

This year, I am planning to read 28 books. Why 28? it's because I am planning to read big books

in 2015. I started reading the Outlander series written by Diana Gabaldon and I am absolutely and

wholeheartedly OBSESSED. So, I am continuing with Book numero 5 soon.

I want to read at least 12 classics.

Read the rest of Jane Austen's books. I have already read Pride & Prejudice and Northanger

Abbey.

Finish all of the books in my current reads. I have 14. Yup! Book polygamy issue.

       Marathon complete YA series.

2015 will be reading less but more and harder.

Top Ten Tuesday ---Series I'd Like to Start But Haven't Yet

***Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish***

These are series' that I'm begging myself to read because they sound fun! In no particular order of course:

1. Delirium series - I love Lauren Oliver's writing. I have the first and second book yet I
have not started the series~ why oh why! Probably this month for
                             sure.

2. Nancy Drew series -There's a ton of 'em in this series so I should really need to read
                                 one as soon as possible.

3. The Mortal Instruments series - I have all of the books! again...no need to spell it out.

4. Gemma Doyle series -same problem as number 4.

5. The Books of Bayern series - Shannon Hale is amazing! I'm 100% sure this one is too.

6. Graceling Realm series -haven't read high fantasy in such a long time. or maybe ever.

7. Lunar Chronicles series - I've heard so many incredible things about this book.
Honestly, I am apprehensive that the protagonist is a cyborg.
                                        Hopefully, I'd really like it.

8. Anne of Green Gables series -It's a children's classic. Definitely, a must-read.

9. His Fair Assassin series- Assassin nuns? Now, that is exciting!

10. Throne of Glass series- the keyword is assassin.

Oddly and no surprise, I have all of the books (mostly) mentioned above except for number 2. I have this thing where I just need to have the available books in a series before I can start reading them. Now I don't have any excuse, right?

On Books and Reading Challenges

Books so many books! I was cleaning my stacks of books last week and I was flabbergasted by the exact amount of unread physical books that I owned. Wow~ before my booktube watching days, I usually had less than twenty on my to-be-read pile.

I am not complaining that my room is full of books BUT to have hundreds (more than 200) of them unread--that's a different story. And about 95% of that pile were purchased just last year. And oh no! you don't want to know how many e-books I have (nook reader & kindle app).

So, I limit myself to only buy 26 physicals books (that's the magic number ;) ) this year. So far, I've already bought 14. And yup! I have book buying issues but I'm trying to monitor that this year. I know it's still March but I still remain hopeful that, that number would not overflow (unless I really deserve it). I'd like to fully utilize my local library when it comes to newly released books.

My reading challenge is set to 100 books on goodreads. I'm doing fine on the goal as far as I can tell. Besides, I would like to knock that mountain of unread pile by half (or a quarter!?) this year. Too ambitious on my part, unfortunately. Since I've already written that aspiration on paper, I'm definitely challenged. Good luck to me!!!
